Dundalk formed band, Just Mustard, announced headline show at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin
Louth band, Just Mustard have announced their headline show in the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
Just Mustard comprises of Dundalk natives: Katie Bell on vocals, David Noonan (also backing vocals) and Mete Kalyoncuoglu on guitar, bassist Robert Hodgers Clarke and drummer Shane Maguire.
With a reputation as one of Ireland’s most thrilling new bands, their blend of noise, trip hop and electronic-influenced music, impresses fans both live and on record.
Just Mustard, have announced their highly anticipated headline show for Friday May 1, 2026 in the 3Olympia Theatre.
Tickets are going on sale on Ticketmaster on Friday August 22 at 10 am. They are priced between €24.50 to €31.50, including the booking fee and venue restoration levy.
Just Mustard have also announced their third studio album, WE WERE JUST HERE, set to be released Friday September 5.
WE WERE JUST HERE, marks a shift from the dark industrial noise and themes of grief and longing, from their 2022 album ‘Heart Under’, to a more light hearted and euphoric sound.
Across the ten tracks of the new album, the band retains their signature elements of guitars warped beyond recognition, twist sound design that draws from the luminary world of Aphex Twin and cavernous low ends, that fans have come to know and love in their first two albums.
The album, produced by guitarist Noonan, features an intended directness and immediacy in their song writing.
Their previous albums had been inspired by the Dundalk native’s love for electronic music, starting the song writing process with instrumental loops and textures before weaving their vocal ideas around them.
They instead this time focused on reverse engineering WE WERE JUST HERE, looking to bands such as Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine for inspiration for bold, fully encompassing songs.
Speaking on this Noonan said: “The vocal structure was the most important thing.”
While expanding their emotional palette, the new album is still directed through the band’s unique lens, described as “Lynchian in the way it shoots for happiness but ends up with something stranger, more complicated, and more fascinating.”
Just Mustard recorded their upcoming album at the Black Mountain studio, just outside of the band’s hometown of Dundalk with David Wrench mixing the record.
Fans of Just Mustard will be able to hear tracks from the upcoming album as well as their previous albums, Wednesday (2018) and Heart Under (2022), live at their headline show in the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on May 1, 2026.
Tickets are on sale from 10 am on Friday August 22 on Ticketmaster.
