OAKBERRY to open in Dundalk tomorrow

The world’s #1 Açaí Brand Expands Its ‘Healthy Fast Food’ Experience to Marshes Shopping Centre Dundalk

Açaí brand, OAKBERRY, says it is excited to announce the launch of a new store in Dundalk, opening tomorrow, Friday 1 August, offering the brand’s signature all-natural açaí bowls, smoothies, Perfect Ted matcha lattes, overnight oats and much more.

Following the record-breaking success of OAKBERRY’s Anne Street South location in Dublin, now officially the brand’s top-performing store in Europe, the company says the opening in Dundalk tomorrow reinforces OAKBERRY’s growing footprint across Ireland and  the continued consumer appetite here for nutritious, plant-based dining.

Evidently the Irish owners of the franchise see an appetite for more healthy food options on the go for the County Louth consumer, and Dundalk's growing appetite for new food experiences makes it an ideal home for OAKBERRY’s health-focused, design-led concept.

Speaking of the new Dundalk opening, Irish co-owner Nick Twomey said: “Before deciding where to open next in Ireland, we carried out detailed market research and it was clear the people of Dundalk want to make healthier choices. That’s exactly what OAKBERRY delivers.

"Our approach to healthy fast food is unique. OAKBERRY is the only açaí brand globally who controls every step of the journey from berry to bowl. Allowing us to ensure there are no compromises on quality or nutrition. Dundalk is ready for nutritious, healthier options.”

“We also know how it very much helps how Instagram worthy an OAKBERRY açaí bowl is!” Nick laughs. “So get ready to see lots of OAKBERRY bowls lighting up your feeds across Louth!”.

OAKBERRY stands apart in the açaí space as the only brand in control of every step, from sustainable farms to finished bowls. Their organic açaí is harvested from small-scale riverside communities in Pará, Brazil, where local families earn a sustainable income without cutting down palm trees, helping preserve the Amazon and protect biodiversity.

At their “Oakville” facility, every berry undergoes rigorous selection, sanitation, and sorbet transformation, then is shipped globally to guarantee premium freshness and taste.

OAKBERRY’s product philosophy blends health and transparency: all bowls are vegan, gluten‑free, hand‑crafted with no artificial preservatives or colorants, using only natural, organic ingredients packed with antioxidants. Designed as ‘healthy fast food’, the brand aims to make nutritious, flavour‑rich meals accessible in minutes, perfectly fitting the modern wellness lifestyle

The brand’s signature açaí bowls start from just €9, and customers can build their own using natural toppings like strawberries, granola, 100% peanut butter, chia seeds and more.

Behind the brand’s Irish expansion are two young Dublin-based entrepreneurs; Nick Twomey and Cian O'Donoghue. The dynamic duo brought OAKBERRY to Ireland just over a year ago. Since then, it has rapidly grown a loyal fanbase, opened multiple high-performing locations and plans to operate over 18 stores across the country by the end of 2025.

“Opening in Dundalk is a really proud moment for us,” said Nick Twomey. “It’s proof that açaí is no longer niche here in Ireland, it’s shaping the future of healthy fast food. We are now looking for options that are good for us, as well as being delicious, and this is only the beginning for us.”
