Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a short illness in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Monday 28 July 2025. Don, son of the late Patrick and Catherine, much loved husband of the late Bridie, dear father of Bernadette, Fiona, Donal and the late Michael who passed away in November 2024, loving grandad of Donal Óg, Kyle, Jordan, Preston, Eoghan, James, Callum, Stephen and the late Ciara, great-grandad of Cian and Molly, brother of Irene McElarney, Paddy, Tony, Colm and the late Bernadette. Don will be sadly missed by his son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, brothers, sons-in-law, Aidan Brennan and Michael Flynn, daughters-in-law, Barbara and Grainne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, work colleagues and friends.
Reposing at his home from 2pm until 8pm on Wednesday. House private at all other times. Removal on Thursday afternoon at 1.30pm via Distillery Lane to St. Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry, arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. The death has occurred of Brendan McParland of 39 Avondale Park, Dundalk, Co Louth and late of Whitecross, Co Armagh
Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved parents Annie and Pat Joe, brothers Pat and James, and sister Mary. Brendan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend Rita, daughters Áine and Sharon and son Damien, his cherished grandchildren Tess, Dylan, Millie, Sadhbh, and Fréimhín. He is also fondly remembered by his sons-in-law Donal and Keith, daughter-in-law Gráinne, sister Betty, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours, wonderful friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Reposing at his home on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Removal on Friday morning at 10:40 a.m. arriving for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Church, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. A mass celebrating Matties life will take place in St. Nicholas’ Church, Stabannon on Sunday 27 July at 9:30am. Funeral will be held in New Zealand on Thursday 31 July.

In her 84th year, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by her family. Phyllis, beloved mother of Lorraine (Mulroy), Brian, Linda, Michael and Kevin. Predeceased by her son Philip, parents Michael and Mary, brothers Tom, Eamon, Michael, Paddy and Eric, sisters Tilly, Ida, Elsie and Angela.
Sadly missed by her sons, daughters, their father Benny, son-in-law Sean, daughters-in-law Karen and Renske, Ronan, brother Philip, sisters Carmel and Olive, her 11 grandchildren, her 2 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Betty, Maura and Eilis, brothers-in-law Mike and Peter, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday to Saint Brigid’s Church, Dunleer arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.
