Minister Dillon with with Ardee Traders’ Association Chairperson Gary Dunne
Cllr Dolores Minogue welcomed Minister of State for Small Business and Retail & Circular Economy, Alan Dillon TD, to mid-Louth last week, where he met with local business owners and representatives in Ardee.
An Cathaoirleach of Ardee Municipal District said that it was “great to have Minister Alan Dillon in Ardee” and that “we had a very productive conversation with Ardee Traders’ Association Chairperson Gary Dunne, and local business owner Thomas Lynch, TD Paula Butterly and Cllr Rachel Kerley.”
The Fine Gael councillor said that “there was plenty of discussion, and this all boils down to the budget and what tariffs America put on us as a country, and of course, the Ardee Bypass didn’t go without getting full attention.”
The Ardee councillor added, “I was (somewhat) delighted the Minister got stuck in traffic himself — it gave him a real sense of what the people and businesses of Ardee have to put up with, day after day, year after year.”
