May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Ann Johnston (née Kelly) of Avondale Park, Avenue Road, Dundalk, Co Louth and formerly of Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath 

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her home on Tuesday 22 July 2025. Ann, daughter of the late Sean and Moraid, beloved wife of Eamonn, dear mother of David, Brian, Lisa and Maria devoted nana of Ryan, Eila and Seán , sister of John, Seamus, her twin Breda and Gerard (Ger). She will be sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Mark, Lisa’s partner Emma, daughters in law Melissa and Mijin, sisters, brothers, brothers in law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Friday morning from her home to Church of The Holy Family arriving for Mass at 11am. A private cremation will take place afterwards. The death has occurred of Trevor Cunningham Snr of Woodland House, Castleshane, Co Monaghan and formerly Muchgrange, Greenore, Co Louth

On Tuesday 22 July, suddenly, at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his loving daughter Orla Kashwa, Dallas, Texas, his parents William and Alice Cunningham and sisters Patricia Finnegan and Roseleen Kilcoyne, Greenore, Co.Louth. Trevor will be sadly missed by his loving wife Josephine and son Trevor, daughter in law Claire, son in law Mac, grandchildren Ethan, Halle-Kate, Adam & Summer, great grandson King, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his son Trevor’s home in Glaslough, house private to family and close friends only please, and at McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale, on Thursday from 5pm - 9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning at 10am at St. Mary's Church, Glennan, followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Peter McMahon, McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

The death has occurred of Mattie Byrne of Dunedin, New Zealand and late of Poolbrock, Stabannon, Co Louth

Peacefully. Loving father of Stephen and Anne Dobson. Predeceased by his wife Jean, bothers Tom, John and Pat, sisters, Rosie Lane, Sheila Lynch, Josie McEvoy, May McGuinness and Madge Byrne. Mattie will be sadly missed by his son, daughter, son-in-law Brian, Stephens partner Rachel, grandchildren Matthew, Jason and Tanya, sister-in-law Bernadette, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A Mass celebrating Mattie's life will take place in St. Nicholas’ Church, Stabannon on Sunday 27 July at 9:30am. Funeral will take place in New Zealand at a later date.
