May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Saul McElwain of Ballynamoney, Carlingford, Co Louth / Dundalk, Co Louth

Suddenly. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sarah, daughters Naomi, Abbie and Jessica, parents Richard and Kathleen, brothers Patrick and Ross, sisters Miriam and Vivien, brothers-in-law Benny, Eddie, Mark and Alex, sisters-in-law Pamela, Aideen, Bernadette and Laura, parents-in-law Yvonne and Alec, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, the extended family circle and all who knew him.

Reposing at his parents' home privately on Wednesday evening, July 23rd, and for public visitation on both Thursday 24 July  and Friday 25 July. Removal on Saturday to Dundalk Presbyterian Church, Jocelyn Street, arriving for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards at Ballymascanlan Churchyard. The death has occurred of Paddy (Patrick) Agnew of Lannet, Inniskeen, Co Monaghan/ Inniskeen, Co Louth

On 21 July 2025, peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. Paddy, much loved brother of Bridget (Brigie) McMahon and brother in law Thomas, predeceased by his brothers Owen, Michael and sister in law Dora. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his nephew James (Mary), grand niece, grand nephews, neighbours and wider family circle.

Reposing at Magee Funeral home Inniskeen, on Wednesday 23 July, from 4 pm until 9 pm. Removal Thursday 24th at 10.30am to Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen via Lannet, arriving for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Inniskeen.

The death has occurred of Maureen Mullen (née Murphy) of Cherryvale, Bay Estate, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, on Tuesday 22 July 2025, in the tender care of Blackrock Abby Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Gerry (Guider), her parents Michael and Rose-Ella, brothers and sisters Gerard, Naula, Peter, Oliver, Agnes, Jim, Tony, Michael and Eamonn. A dear and beloved mother of Tony and Maria,

Maureen will be forever loved and deeply missed by her son and daughter, son-in-law John Fitzgerald, daughter-in-law Taryna Mullen, adored grandchildren Seán, Roísín and Darragh, Seán’s partner Claire, Roísín’s husband Kevin, her cherished great-grandchildren Isabella, Sam and Kate, brothers Brian and Vincent, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives and wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Maria’s home, Hawthorn Cresent, Bay Estate on Thursday 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.40am to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. House private on Friday morning please. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home 042 9339796.

The death has occurred of Gerry Sheridan of Templetown, Carlingford, Co Louth and formerly Bothar Maol, Blackrock, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Peggy, brother Owen and sister-in-law Anne. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Marion, sons Brendan and Eamonn, daughters-in-law Teresa and Áine, grandchildren Luke, Abigail, Lucy and Ava, brothers Jimmy, Noel, Oliver, Martin and Tony, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Wednesday 23 July, from 3pm-8pm. Reposing privately for the family at home on Thursday, July 24th. Removal on Friday, July 25th from the family home to St. James’ Church, Grange arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private at all times, please. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired in lieu to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes on 042 9334521.
