The death has occurred of Peter Murphy of Cluan Enda, Dundalk, and formerly Marlmount House, Haggardstown, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Wednesday 16 July 2025. Predeceased by his wife Sheila (née Muckian), parents James and Josephine, sister Helen and recently by his partner Doreen Larkin (née Mooney). Dear father of Karen, Philip, Kenneth and Sharleen.
Peter will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, sons, daughters, sons-in-laws Liam and Bernie, daughters-in-law Lorraine and Rose, his beloved grandchildren Anne-Frances, Stephen, Nicole, Jemma, Craig, Conor, Bernice, Tania and Celine, great-grandchildren, great great-grand-daughter, brother Noel, brother-in-law Frank O’Hara and sister-in-law Anne, nephews, cousins, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Friday and Saturday 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Sunday afternoon to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Enquiries to Shevlin's Funeral Home, 042 9339796.

Peacefully, at home, in the care of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John and Evelyn and siblings Jim, Desmond and Patsy. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing brother and sisters Aidan, Olive and Marie, sisters-in-law Mary, Alicia and Marie, brothers-in-law Peadar and Harry, his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, extended family and many friends.
Removal on Wednesday, July 16th at 5.45pm from Quinn’s Funeral Home, Dundalk, to his nephew Seamus’ home, Castletowncooley, to repose privately for family on Wednesday evening. Reposing on Thursday, July 17th for public visitation at Seamus’ home from 2pm-9pm. House private on Friday please. Removal on Friday, July 18th to St. Anne's Church, Mullaghbuoy, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Lordship Cemetery. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes on 042 9334521.
