May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Shane Dowling of Tenby, Point Road, Dundalk, Co Louth

Suddenly but peacefully at home, on 3 July 2025.  Predeceased by his father John, sister-in-law Aoife and uncle Jim. Shane will be forever loved and always remembered by his beloved mother Ethna, dear sister Ruth (New Zealand) and brother David, nephews and nieces Hannah, Amelia, Charlie, Jack and Tom, brother-in-law Conor, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family relatives, neighbours and all his wonderful friends.

Funeral arrangements later. House strictly private. No flowers please, donations to North Louth Hospice. Enquiries to Shevlin's Funeral Home 042 9339796.

The death has occurred of Catherine Lally (née Matthews) of Tuites Lane, Blackrock, Co Louth

Former secondary teacher, St. Vincents School, Dundalk. Died peacefully, in the wonderful care of the Louth County Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday 2 July 2025. Catherine, much loved wife of Jim, dearly cherished mother of Jamie, Conor and the late John who died in infancy, devoted nana of James, Sophie, Zara, Anna, Tom and Theo, sister of Oliver, Michael, Colm, Mary, and Pat and daughter of the late Paddy and Kathleen.

Catherine will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Jenny and Liana, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her son Conor’s Home, Tuites Lane on Friday from 6pm until 10pm. Removal on Saturday afternoon, to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock arriving for Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. Family flowers only.
