The Oriel Centre’s Summer Show series, ‘Seisiún’, returns to entertain locals and visitors to north Louth on Thursday evenings throughout July and into August in the beautiful historic surroundings of Dundalk Gaol.
This evening of high quality traditional Irish entertainment is led by the some of this Region’s most talented traditional musicians, singers and dancers, most of whom are multi All Ireland title holders in music, song and dance.
Artists include flute players Kay Webster, Kerrieanne McArdle & Oisín Ó Maoleoin; harpers Rachael Dooley, Deirdre Ni Bhuachalla & Fionnuala Donlon, uilleann piper Padraig Donlon; guitar, Paul McMahon; fiddle, Ursula Byrne & Lorraine McMahon; concertina Jaymee Martin; bodhran Jack Ridley; banjo, Enda Dooley; mandolin, Bee Malone; singers, Nora Malone, Pearse McMahon and Bríd Dooley; dancers from the McGee School of Irish Dance
‘Seisiún’ provides an unique and authentic entertainment experience of Irish traditional music. It is a show filled with music, song, dance and the occasional story, followed by an informal session where audience participation is encouraged and supported.

Come and bring your party piece, join in a dance, or simply chat to the artists! Visiting artists are most welcome to perform, and organisers say they are always delighted when visitors bring a song or tune to share.
Comhaltas Seisiun provides an opportunity for all to experience and be entertained by the vibrancy of our Irish Cultural Traditions, including the cupán tae.
Seisiún will run throughout July and Aug 2025 – July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st and August 14th. Tickets available at www.orielcentre.ie or directly from the Oriel Centre Reception. Group bookings welcome with special rates available on enquiry.
