The Local Authorities Water Programme are organising a community meeting in the Four Seasons Hotel in Carlingford on the 30th of April to gather local knowledge for a flood mitigation plan for the entire Cooley Peninsula.
The event is from 7-9pm and will include a presentation of the plan, and a series of exercises to gather local knowledge and experience for the flood mitigation plan.
All are welcome but must register here so organisers can prepare chairs and print enough maps (you can register for more than one person): https://forms.office.com/e/Fb2a8dTxSa
Organisers have advised: "Please bring elders from your community; their understanding of how the landscape has changed will be invaluable."
Any questions please contact Eoghan Connaughton, the Community Water Officer with LAWpro at 085 850 0303.
