May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) McCourt late of 52 Fatima Park, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of St. Oliver Plunkett Community Unit on Saturday 1 March, in his 101st year, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Paddy, much loved father of Marie, Deirdre (McElarney), Sheila (Traynor), Patricia (McDonald) and Fiona (Shields). Predeceased by his wife Clora, his parents Patrick and Mary Teresa, his brothers Tommy and Brendan and sisters Brigid, Fronnie and Kitty. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Sheila’s home. 1 Hawthorn Crescent, Bay Estate, Dundalk, on Monday3 March from 4pm-8pm. Removal on Tuesday, proceeding on foot from Fatima Park to St Joseph’s Church, Fatima (Castletown), Dundalk, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Bridge-a-Crinn Cemetery. House private on Tuesday morning, please. 
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of St. Oliver’s.

The death has occurred of Niall Taaffe of Aclint, Reaghstown, Ardee, Co Louth

On Saturday 1 March 2025. Predeceased by his brother Thomas and his father-in-law Richard. He will be sadly missed by his much loved and heartbroken wife Lorraine, son T.J. and daughter Leah, his parents Doreen and Thomas, his sister Susan, his mother-in-law Bernadette, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Trevor, adored nephew Callum, nieces Amy, Danielle and Aoife, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

The death has occurred of Gomaris Van Den Maagdenberg of Coopers Cross, Castlebellingham, Co Louth

Aged 74 years, suddenly at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Gomaris, beloved husband of Marian. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer on Wednesday 5 March from 1pm until 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning to Saint Mary’s Church, Kilsaran, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am which can be viewed live at. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
