Some of the damage to LSPCA kennels
The Louth Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Louth SPCA) is urgently seeking assistance after their kennels sustained significant damage during the recent storm. While they are relieved that no animals or staff were injured, the charity is now facing an urgent challenge to repair the facility before further bad weather causes more destruction.
The damage has left parts of the indoor play area exposed to the elements, creating serious concerns for both the safety of the dogs and the welfare of staff members. Despite these challenges, the space remains in daily use, making immediate repairs essential.
In an appeal to the public, the Louth SPCA is asking for help in identifying skilled professionals who can take on the necessary repair work. “If you know of anyone who is qualified to take on this repair job, please direct them to us,” they urged in a recent statement. “We can’t stress enough the worry and concern this is causing us.”

The organisation is calling on the community to spread the word in hopes of securing the expertise needed to restore the kennels. They encourage everyone to share their appeal so they can get the repairs completed as soon as possible.
Anyone who can offer assistance or knows someone with the necessary skills is asked to contact the Louth SPCA directly.
