May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Canon Francis Noel Conway of Belfast, Antrim / Carlingford, Louth / Dublin City, Dublin / Sligo Town, Sligo

Former PP of Strangford and Kilclief. Peacefully, in Nazareth Care Village on Tuesday 4 February 2025. Youngest brother of the late Cardinal William Conway. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing nieces and nephews in Belfast, Derry, Dublin and England and by the Bishop, Clergy and lay faithful of the Diocese of Down and Connor.

Repsoing in O’Kanes Funeral Home, 116-118 Donegall Street, Belfast until Friday 7 February when his remains will be received for the Liturgy of Reception in Stella Maris Church, Strangford at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 8 February at 11.00am, followed by interment in St Malachy’s Cemetery, Kilclief.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Matthews (née Sharkey) of Snipehill, Ardee, Louth

Unexpectedly at Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, on Thursday 6 February 2025. Predeceased by her husband Benny and their daughter Bernadette. She will be sadly missed by her much loved and devoted family, daughters Mary and Linda, son Kenneth, cherished grandchildren Grace, Hazel, Conor, Adam, Callum and Noah, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Sinead, her sisters Elizabeth, Madge, May, Bridie and Sheila, her brother Brian, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Reposing at her home in Snipehill, Ardee on Friday from 4pm. House private on Saturday morning, please. Removal on Saturday  leaving her home at 11.30am to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for 12noon funeral mass. Burial afterwards in Ballapousta Cemetery.
