Our Shoes Campaign calls on Louth schools and clubs to donate pre-loved shoes to South African townships

They are asking schools and clubs to get involved & run your own campaign in school, by registering for Our Shoes Campaign 2025

Our Shoes Campaign 2025 are inviting Louth students, schools and clubs to participate again in Our Shoes 2025 Campaign.  

Our Shoes collect pre-loved sports shoes directly from schools for donation to South African children, these donations are distributed to children in need by NGO’s on the ground.

They are currently running their 2025 Campaign, which aims to bridge continents through individual acts of kindness. By donating pre-loved sports shoes, students will help reignite hope, restore dignity, and open doors to new opportunities for children in African townships.

They are asking schools and clubs to get involved & run your own campaign in school, by registering for Our Shoes Campaign 2025:

A spokesperson said: “To participate, we kindly ask all schools to complete a new registration for 2025, even if they have been involved in previous campaigns. Interested schools can register by visiting https://www.ourshoes.ie/registerschool and clicking the REGISTER button.

“Reflecting on our 2024 Campaign, we are thrilled to share that over 200 national schools participated, alongside over 40 Transition Year classes. Together, they collected an astounding 16,000 pairs of shoes, all destined for a second life, providing hope and dignity to those in need.

“During our visit to NGO’s and schools in Cape Town in February 2024, we witnessed the positive impact our efforts have had on recipients and their communities.”

 

KEY DATES FOR SCHOOLS:

Now until 20th March 2025:                    Start collecting shoes (Keep in mind that you need to store collections until March 2025 collection)

20th February to 20th March 2025:          Ability to start requesting a collection on our website (www.ourshoes.ie)

20th March 2025:                                   Last day to register and request a collection on our website (www.ourshoes.ie)

Month of March 2025:                            Collection of shoes from each school by logistic provider, DPD.
