ESB Networks continuing to restore power in Louth

ESB Networks is continuing to restore power across Louth after the devastation caused by Storm Éowyn left thousands in the area without power today.

Power was restored to parts of Dundalk and some other areas including Kilkerley earlier today but a significant number of outages remain.

As of shortly after 5pm today, in the Dundalk area, there are outages in places including the Coes Road area, Mounthamilton, the Inner Relief Road, the Ardee Road.

Outside of Dundalk, there are outages in places on the Cooley Peninsula includin, Jenkinstown, Carlingford Village, and Bush.

Moving south of Dundalk, outages remain in Knockbridge, Haggardstown, Dromiskin, Kilsaran, Stabannon and Dunleer.

Louth County Council also announced this afternoon that the Ardee Road at Rath has been closed due to the presence of power lines.
