May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Brian Sloan of Lower Shore, Omeath, Co Louth / Newry, Co Down

On January 21 2025, peacefully at his home. Brian, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (née Treanor), devoted father of Anthony, Bernarde, Margurite, Susan and Judith. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 6 great-grandchildren and much loved brother of Liam and Mary, and dear son of the late Willy John and Lily Sloan. Sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sister, daughter-in-law Donna, sons-in-law Gerard, Paul and Colm, nephews, nieces, and his entire family circle and friends. 

Reposing at his late residence, Lower Shore, Omeath, on Friday from 12-9pm. Funeral on Saturday to arrive for 12 noon Requiem Mass in the Church of St Laurence, Omeath. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private on Saturday morning.

The death has occurred of Moira Sharkey (née McGee) of Crumlin, Mullaharlin, Haggardstown, Co Louth and formerly Southend, Blackrock, Co Louth 

On January 22, peacefully, in her 99th year in the care of Blackrock Abbey. Beloved wife of the late Peter Sharkey and dearly missed by her son Noel and his wife Marian. Fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Marian, grandsons Peter and his wife Danielle, Jonathan and his wife Julie, Robert and his wife Stacey and Daniel and his partner Maeve, her great-granddaughter Clíona, her niece Mary, grandniece and grandnephew Katie and John and all her relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk. Removal on Saturday, January 25th to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown (Eircode A91 XH75), arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes on 042 9334521.
