The death has occurred of Margaret MacArtain (née McCahey) of Four Winds Gyles Quay, Riverstown, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital on Monday 20 January 2025. Margaret, beloved wife of the late Cathal dear mother of Cathal, Fergus, Rory, Diarmuid, Catherine, Orla and Cormac, granny of Jenna, Aoibheann, Orna, Eiméar, Laura, Michelle, Sharyn, Ruairí, Maria, Aishling, Shauna, Fionn, Gráinne, Donnacha, Isabel and the late Diarmuid, sister of Mai, and the late Paddy, Jim, and Tommy. She will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing in McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 3pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Mary’s Church, Lordship, arriving for Mass at 11am. The death has occurred of Kate Murphy (née Bannon) of Glenwood, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, surrounded by family in the Mater Hospital on the 19 January, 2025. Predeceased by her parents, Tommy and Kathleen; her husband Jackie; and her brothers Sean, Josie, Willie, Peter and Michael. Kate will be missed and remembered by her children Katie, John, Janette and Louise; their spouses Lek, Pat and Patrick; and her adored grandchildren Sara, Ethan, Madison, Isaac, Cillian, Cormac and Róisín. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Seamus, Meg, Marion, Gary, Brendan, Tom and their families.

Unexpectedly, having celebrated her 100th birthday on January 7, in the dedicated and tender care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Annie and siblings Tommy, Patsy, Mary, Peggy, Rosie, Kitty, Teresa, and Eileen (in infancy). She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sister Bridgie (McCabe), brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, especially her niece Teresa Giff, extended family and friends.

Bridie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her loving daughters Catherine, Bridget, Marian, Geraldine, Anne & son Anthony, doting grandchildren, dear sister Anne, neighbours and friends.
