€5,800,000 allocation for Active Travel in Louth welcomed

Louth TD Erin McGreehan has welcomed an allocation of €5,800,000 to Active Travel projects in Louth from the National Transport Authority (NTA).
Deputy McGreehan said that a wide variety of projects across Louth have received funding, including numerous Safe Routes to School and footpath projects.
Welcoming this funding, the Fianna Fáil TD said:  "I am thrilled to see such a substantial investment in active travel in Louth for 2025. This funding will make our communities safer and more accessible for walkers and cyclists.
"I am confident that these projects will have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people of Louth.
"We need to make active travel a practical and viable option for people, and this funding is a significant step towards that goal and shows a strong commitment to promoting sustainable and active travel options across Louth.''
