An evening of entertainment followed with dinner, prize presentation and a raffle in the Club House
The Annual Dundalk Chamber Golf Classic took place in the beautiful surroundings of Dundalk Golf Club last Friday.
A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all Chamber Golf Classic which is one of the longest established and popular golf classics in the Northeast region.
The event was sponsored by Servisource Recruitment and has drawn many teams back every year to enjoy the warm atmosphere and hospitality experienced on the day.
The traditional delicious barbecue was enjoyed by team members at the ninth hole and was sponsored by McArdle Meats and offered an opportunity to meet other team players for a chat before completing the course.
Local company Fyffes provided bananas for the occasion and Red Dog Sauces provided delicious sauces for the barbeque.
An evening of entertainment followed with dinner, prize presentation and a raffle in the Club House. Refreshments were also provided by The Great Northern Distillery, Fyffes, Diageo and Value Centre Cash and Carry.
Guests were also treated to ice cream from an ice cream van on the day sponsored by Protection & Prosperity Financial Services.
It was a fantastic competition, and the results were as follows:
First prize with 94 points was won by Hydroscand. Players included Conor Bell, David McCourt, Stuart Hamilton and Ruairi Smyth.
Second Prize was won by National Tile with 93 points. Players were Gavin McDonald, Derek Murdock, Conall Murdock and Cathal Purcell.
Third Prize was won by the Garda Siochana. team with 92 points. Players were Keith Hardigan, John O Flaherty, Tony O Connell and Charlie Barrett.
Fourth Prize was won by Donnan Hurst with 92 points. Players were Donnan Hurst, Patrick Butterly, David Reilly and Paul McCarville.
The Fifth Prize was won by First Citizen with 91 points. Team consisted of Gerry Oakes, Kieran Dunne, Paul Morgan and Conor Oakes.

The €100 Voucher for McGeoughs for nearest the Pin Ladies was won by Eva Beirne.
Longest Drive Gents was won by Des McKeown.
Nearest the pin gents was won by Stephen Hoey.
Longest Drive Ladies was won by Mary McDonnell and she won a bouquet of flowers sponsored by Blooms.
The fantastic raffle which followed included a variety of prizes including two tickets to the Wolfe Tones in the 3 Arena was won by Paul Morgan.
Gas Barbecue sponsored by Flogas was won by Patrick Butterly.
Declan Murphy of Servisource Recruitment thanked the organizing committee at the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, they also thanked Leslie of Dundalk Golf Club and all those who helped to make this golf classic a tremendous success.
