Local man Eoghan McCabe’s three-year long journey of charity fundraising has totalled a staggering €94,906.

The annual campaign, Eoghan’s Home Run, an annual tractor run, has brought together thousands of people over the years and has contributed to connecting communities throughout northeast coast region.

The fundraising activity has consistently benefitted three well deserving charities since 2021 and throughout that time, Eoghan has also acted as an ambassador to raise awareness of causes, conditions and help for all three.

December 23’s Home Run started in Dunleer, Co. Louth and on the lead up to the event was supported by YouTube legend Farmer Phil as well as receiving messages of support by All Ireland greats Johnny Sexton, Jamie Heaslip and Tommy Bowe.

Taking pride in his achievement, Eoghan recently presented the three supported charities, Williams Syndrome Ireland, Drogheda Special Olympics and Ardee Hospice with equal donations of €13,107.

Commenting on the campaign, Eoghan said: "For the past 3 Eoghan’s Home Runs, I would like to thank those who participated and supported. Without you, these events would not have been as successful.  #WatchThisSpace’."

All donations have been divided equally between the three excellent charities, Williams Syndrome Ireland, Ardee Hospice and Drogheda Special Olympics and we really hope it helps do more for more people.
