The 2024 DkIT Dundalk 10K race, hosted by Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT), will take place on Wednesday the 17th of April at 7pm at DKIT Sport.

Although labelled as the “DkIT Dundalk 10K”, there is once again an option to take part in the 5K event. People that are taking part have the option of either running, walking or jogging their distance.

The course for the event is known for being one of the flattest surfaces in Ireland with a course record of 29:45 held by Yared Deresse of Carrick Aces.

The event starts and finishes outside DKIT Sport and takes in some wonderful views, especially those along the coast road.

Once again, the event is supported by generous sponsorship from Servisource Recruitment, Recruit Island, Fyffes, Dundalk Retail Park, Dundalk Credit Union, Intact Software, ControlSoft, RockSalt Café, K2 Data Centres, DKIT Sport, Ganson and Dundalk Institute of Technology. The sponsors attended the recent launch on campus

This event is raising funds for charities, DkIT’s chosen charity partner for this year is SAFE Castlebellingham, a community-based organisation that supports individuals struggling with mental health issues.
