Dundalk Youthreach students clinch 100% in Leaving Cert

There was much joy and celebration in Dundalk Youthreach (LMETB) as two of their Leaving Certificate Applied Students received the Fergal Quinn Award for outstanding results over the course of their two year programme.

Shannon Wehrly and Yussof Bellow both received a fantastic 100% in their Leaving Cert and were honoured in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone on 27th of January this year.

Yussof, who is a keen sportsman, is currently completing an FAI coaching course and Shannon is working in a local Pharmaceutical Company. 

Youthreach provides young people with an alternative educational route. 

Based in Chapel Street Dundalk, successful applicants can complete a QQI Employability Programme or Leaving Certificate Applied.  

Students are supported and encouraged to progress on to Further and Higher Educational Institutes on successful completion of their time in Youthreach.  

In addition to achieving these major awards students also have the opportunity to complete add on courses such as Manual Handling, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safe Pass training.
