Neil Keeble on the podium after coming 1st in the Barebow Category during leg 1 of the Winter Series
CúChulainn Archers/DKIT Archery Club kicked off their Winter Series, with the first leg being a great success filled with medals and personal bests.
Archers from both clubs were joined by some top-class competitors from other clubs such as Archery GB, Athboy Archers, Ardee Archers, Ballyvalley Archers, City of Belfast Archers, Dublin Archers, Leixlip Archers, Millennium Archers, Wicklow Archers and the Yew Tree Archers.
There will be a total of five legs in the Winter Series with each leg consisting of two single FITA 18 competitions. The First, Second and Third highest scoring archer of each individual leg (Double FITA 18) will receive a medal.
The series will run over five Sunday's, with the overall winner being the archer who scores the highest seven individual FITA 18 scores.
While it is very difficult to run a competition and also compete, Cuchulainn did very well with overall with Neil Keeble and Enda Murray taking Gold, Brendan Forde, Adria Quinn and Rose Anne O'Donnell taking Silver.
Meanwhile John Keenan took home Bronze. Other members also reported shooting Personal Best scores on the day. Congratulations to the winners, and the best of luck to everyone competing in the next leg.
