Dundalk JPC: Blackrock gets new sergeant

Superintendent Charlie Armstrong told the most recent meeting of Dundalk JPC (Joint Policing Committee) that a new sergeant, Sergeant Declan Brady, has been allocated to Blackrock and will begin his duties on 17th May. 

He was responding to a query from Independent councillor Maeve Yore as she sought an update on Garda vacancies and progress in getting a replacement sergeant for Blackrock which has been without one for some time. 

Superintendent Armstrong added that Sergeant Brady would be a "welcome addition" and thanked the chief superintendent for the allocation.
