Dangerous Lion's Mane jellyfish washed up on Blackrock beach

A photograph of what appears to be a dangerous Lion's Mane jellyfish, which has washed up on the beach in Blackrock, has been posted to social media today.

Local tourist group VisitBlackrock advised people to be careful on the beach.

Lion's Mane have a potent sting, which can be extremely painful.

The creature can still sting even after death.
