Louth homeless figures increase again in November

Louth homeless figures remain among highest in country

Homeless figures in Louth rose again in November, according to Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government figures released recently.

During the week of November 19 - 25, 2018, 128 people accessed local authority managed emergency accommodation in Louth.

This is up from 124 people in October. 

The only counties in Ireland which reported higher numbers, are Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Kerry and Galway.

The Homelessness Report, places Louth in the North East region along with Monaghan and Cavan.

Monaghan recorded five people as homeless, up from two in October, and Cavan recorded nine - up from seven in September.
