166 new homes planned for Blackrock
A pre-application request has been lodged with An Bord Pleanála seeking permission to develop 166 new homes in Blackrock, by McCaughey Homes Ltd.
The development with an address at Old Golf Links Road & Tuites Lane, Blackrock, Dundalk, seeks to develop 67 apartments and duplexes of one to three bedroooms in size.
It also seeks to develop 99 two-storey houses, of two-four bedrooms, in a mix of semi-detached, detached and terraced houses.
The development would also include a creche, bike and bin stores and 294 car park spaces.
The developers seek to develop a main access to Old Golf Links Road via existing estate road shared with the adjoinging Cois Farraige estate.
It also seeks a seperate access off Old Golf Links Road to serve 4 of the proposed houses, as well as pedestrian cyclist access via Tuites Lane and extension to the public footpath along Old Golf Links Road (on land in ownership of applicant).
A decision is due on the application by February 16 2018.
