Gardaí investigating an incident in Moneymore, Drogheda, Co Louth on November 11 2018 have charged three men. All three are expected to appear before a sitting of Drogheda District Court later this morning, November 23 2018.
Gardaí are continuing to detain a fourth man arrested during yesterday’s operation at Dundalk Garda Station. He can be held for up to 72 hours.
Below are the details released yesterday by Gardaí on the ongoing incident.
Further arrests have been made by Gardaí in Drogheda as part of an ongoing investigation into an incident at a house in Moneymore Estate, Drogheda on the 11th of November 2018.
During this morning’s (22/11/2018) operation a number of houses were searched across Drogheda and four men were arrested. The men, who are all aged in their 20s, are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda Stations.
Today’s operation was led by local Garda and detective units assisted by members of the ASU.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
