Structures destroyed overnight in Omeath fire

Táin holiday village

Two structures were completely destroyed in a fire at the former Táin holiday village in Omeath overnight.

According to LMFM radio this morning, fire services in Dundalk and Carlingford were called to tackle the blaze at around 1 am last night.

This is the second fire in a number of weeks to take place at the site. Five weeks ago, extensive damage was caused in an arson attack at the former holiday camp.

The location is said to be the subject of on-going anti-social behavior for a number of years now.
