New housing development planned for town of Dundalk

Housing

A new planning application submitted to Louth County Council last week would see 36 new two storey houses built at a site on the Dublin Road, Dundalk, should permission be granted.

The application which was submitted by Torca Developments Ltd., was received by Louth County Council on 8 March 2018 and is at a pre-validation stage at present.

The proposed development seeks to construct 36 two storey houses, which would consist of four two-bed semi-detached houses, ten three-bed semi-detached houses and five two-bed mid-terrace houses.

It also proposed to build 14 three-bed terraced houses, two four-bed semi-detached houses and one four-bed detached house.

Travel to and from the development would be catered for, by the provision of two new vehicular and pedestrian entrances off Glenwood housing estate.

A decision is due on the application by 2 May 2018.
