Joe Hitchcock, one of the world's first darts superstars performed in Dundalk in 1966
RTE Archives have uploaded an RTE news broadcast from May 1966 that will interest darts enthusiasts from Dundalk.
Joe Hitchcock, one of the world's first sponsored darts throwers, toured the UK and Ireland performing in pubs - the video shows him performing somewhere in Dundalk.
Not for the squeamish, the video shows him knocking a button off a volunteers tongue with a dart, as well as knocking a cigarette out of someone else's mouth - on some occasions he even plays blindfolded!
It is not clear where exactly in Dundalk the event took place but we hope some of our readers might help us out here.
