Radio personality and PR aficionado Anton Savage met with students at DkIT to mark the launch of the new BA in Digital Marketing, Communication and Public Relations.

Savage is a managing director of the long-established and well-respected Communications Clinic in Dublin.

Speaking at the launch of DkIT's innovative new BA, Savage said: "Public communication is changing more rapidly than ever before - more outlets and platforms than at any point in history. And that means PR companies are looking for graduates who can hit the ground running; who are not only skilled in the latest technologies and media , but have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of great communication.

"I’m really impressed with the new programme's combination of practical focus in the classroom and real-world experience with companies. The blend of lectures, projects and placements looks ideal."

The new programme builds on DkIT's courses in Marketing and Public Relations disciplines from the institution's the School of Business & Humanities.

A spokesperson for DkIT said:

"This new programme brings together the best of these practices and offers students a wonderful college experience with excellent job prospects.

"Graduates of the marketing and public relations programmes at DkIT can be found in senior communication and marketing roles in a range of industry sectors such as hospitality, food & drink, financial services, energy and engineering."
