Louth choristers team up with Finns for local concert

THIRTY choristers from Co Louth are teaming up with a Finnish choir to perform at an upcoming musical event in Blackrock.

Founded in 2003, Clermont Chorale performs a wide range of musical repertoire from the 16th to the 21st Century under Director Irene Barr.

The local choir has recently returned from Russia where they sang at three concerts in St Petersburg.

The group have previously performed in Italy, Czech Republic, the USA and Germany for competitions, festivals and concert tours.

Clermont Chorale are set to perform with Luvia Male Voice Choir, a Finnish choir established in 1948, at St Oliver Plunkett's Church, Blackrock on Sunday, November 19 at 5pm.

Tickets cost €10 and are available at the door.
