Firefighters are dealing with a blaze at the Glenside Hotel in Drogheda this afternoon.
A statement issued on the hotel’s Facebook page announced that the hotel would be closed until further notice and that everybody was safe and well.
The hotel said that they were working towards contacting all of their bookings as soon as possible.
Local councillor Debbie McCole issued a statement on Facebook saying: “
Very sad to hear about the fire at the Glenside Hotel. My thoughts are with all guests, staff, management, and emergency services dealing with the situation.
“I sincerely hope that everyone is safe and that no one has been injured. Incidents like this are distressing for all involved, especially the hardworking staff and management who will be facing a very difficult time.
