Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward

Man who died in Louth collision named

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time are also asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.

A man in his 60s who died following a road traffic accident just outside Dundalk has been named. 

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a road traffic collision on the N53 at Rassan on Monday evening 6th April at around 10:15pm. 

Cathal Nolan from Crossmaglen was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A woman in her 20s, who was travelling in the second vehicle, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time are also asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
