Carlingford Lough Greenway reopen as temporary walkway built

The temporary walkway bypasses the the section of coastline that was damaged by last week’s weather.

The Carlingford Lough Greenway will reopen on Thursday, 19 February.

A temporary walkway has been constructed close to the Carlingford Marina, which bypasses the section of coastline that was damaged by last week’s weather.

Design works will commence shortly on the section of the coastline which has eroded.

Louth County Council thanked the public for their patience as this work was completed, the contractor for the construction of the temporary walkway, and private landowners for providing access.
