Planning application lodged with Louth County Council for housing in Ardee
Plans are underway for new housing in Ardee following the submission in recent days of a planning application to Louth County Council.
Castleguard Properties Ltd has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the completion of a residential development at Moorhall Rise, Hale Street, Ardee, which was initially granted planning permission in 2005.
The applicant is seeking the go ahead for the construction of 17 new homes, comprising three, three-bedroom units in a single terrace block; 10, three-bedroom semi-detached units; and four, four-bedroom semi-detached units.
The planning application also provides for site development works, including completion of the site access road construction, landscaping and other services and facilities required for the development.
A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 1 April 2026, with submissions due by 11 March.

The residential development which was granted planning permission in 2005, referred to in this planning application, comprised the construction of 12, four bed semi detached dwellings; 28, three bed semi-detached dwellings; 26, two bed terraced dwellings; eight, three bed terraced dwellings; and six, three bed bungalow dwellings; along with ancillary site works.
The development address was Moorhall Close &, Moorhall Rise, Hale Street, Ardee, and the applicant was Seamus Rogers.
