Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Louth

Met Éireann has issued Status Yellow rain warning for Louth. 

The warning will come into place from 3:00am on Thursday to 3:00am on Friday. 

The warning is also in place for a further eight counties, including Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Monaghan and Tipperary. 

Met Éireaan has said the further rainfall on already saturated ground combined with high river levels and high tides will lead to: 

  • Localised Flooding
  • River Flooding
  • Difficult travel conditions

Status Orange rain warnings were also issued to Wicklow and Waterford.
