Samaritans Drogheda and North East are calling on members of the public to volunteer for the service.
Samaritan volunteers provide service 365 days a year 24/7 to people experiencing distress, despair, or thoughts of suicide.
Margaret Fahey, Director of Drogheda Samaritans said, "Volunteering with
Samaritans is a meaningful way to make a real difference in our community. When someone calls 116123, it often means they have reached a point where they have nowhere else to turn. It is essential that we are there for them, without fear of judgement, offering a safe place for them to talk,” she said.
