Plans progressing for new housing development in Blackrock

Housing development planned for Birch's Lane

Plans are progressing for a new housing development at Birch's Lane in Blackrock with the submission to the local planning authority of further information in relation to the development.

Bernadette Heaney applied to Louth County Council last June, for planning permission for a housing development of 15 dwellings at Birch’s Lane.

The planned development comprises four, four-bed detached units; three, three-bed terrace units; two, three-bed semi-detached units; and six, two-bed terrace units.

The planning application also provides for an alteration to the existing site entrance and all associated site development works.

A decision had initially been due on the planning application by last August but following the request for further information, a decision was delayed. With the submission of further information on 26 January, a decision is now due on the application by 22 February.
