Dundalk Rugby Football Club (RFC) is set to host its Dundalk RFC Ladies Lunch and Charity Event on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at The Fairways Hotel, Dundalk.
This event, organised to celebrate and appreciate the women associated with Dundalk RFC and the remarkable achievements of the Dundalk RFC Girls on the pitch, marks a pivotal moment in the club's history. It symbolises the breaking of the glass ceiling and the acknowledgment of women's indispensable role in the sport.
"We are proud to celebrate Dundalk RFC Ladies for their immense contribution to the club," expressed a club spokesperson.
"They have been a driving force, sharing their unrivalled passion for the game while supporting our Club. Club Rugby runs on respect, commitment and selflessness and the Dundalk RFC Ladies have displayed all qualities and have been central to our success as a club which we acknowledge and want to celebrate.”
The event aims to honour the accomplishments of Dundalk RFC's female members while also raising funds for the club and supporting local charities, including Sosad, Marie Goretti Foundation, and the Gavin Glynn Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
Attendees can expect a delightful afternoon filled with entertainment, including complimentary drinks on arrival accompanied by the sounds of the fabulously talented Sweeney Sisters, a sumptuous three-course lunch, a fashion show and styling event, an auction, and a raffle.
The music will continue with performances by The Decades and DJ GraceC, promising a lively atmosphere for all guests.
Tables of ten can be reserved, or individuals can be added to a table upon request by contacting the event organisers:
