Dundalk's Creative Spark to host Cruinniú Bhríde exhibition as part of Brigid 1500 festival

Creative Spark in Dundalk says it is delighted to be part of Brigid 1500 celebrations through its upcoming exhibition “Cruinniú Bhríde” - Artist-in-the-Community.

Opening its doors to the public on January 27, this exhibition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of 23 groups, each guided by the artistic vision of five lead artists.

Under the guidance of the Creative Spark Print Studio Coordinator, Gráinne Murphy, and collaborating with artists Susan Farrelly, Úna Curley, Claire McAteer, and Etaoin O'Reilly, Creative Spark hosted a series of engaging workshops as part of Cruinniú Bhríde - Artist-in-the-Community project.

Its talented team of artists brought their expertise in various media, including textile and mixed media art, print art, and ceramics. Through collaborative efforts, these workshops will yield an impressive collection of unique artworks, each inspired by the timeless theme of Brigid of Faughart.

The exhibition promises to be a unique presentation of the community's creativity and appreciation for Brigid.

Creative Spark says it is proud to collaborate with groups, including the Irish Sign Language Group, Ashton School, Malta Connect, St John of Gods, Ardee Active Retirement, Gaelscoil Dhún Dealgan, Art as Exchange, Cooley Connect, Drogheda Library Book Club, local artists, AAEX, sea swimming groups, and Faughart School.

The exhibition will run from Saturday 27 January, from 10 am to 5 pm each day, until Monday 5 February and Creative Spark invites the public to visit them at 4-5 Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, (formerly Houston’s), for an experience celebrating Brigid.
