The money raised will go towards visually improving the groups short film, which follows the story of a girl, Laura, who seeks advice from mother Francesca about a recent break-up.
Francesca is the protagonist, who reflects on her younger years during the 1990's. The DkIT students will begin filming in February and are hoping to raise as much as possible on their GoFundMe page.
The 20-minute film is written, directed and produced by: Orlaith McCullough, Michael Martin, Jasmine Badrick, Kieran Tyrrell and Lurcan Farrelly.
