Last weekend was a busy one for members of CúChulainn Archers, with sixteen members of the club competing in the Archery Ireland Indoor Open Competition and two members competing in the Kings of Archery competition in Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

The Indoor Open was hosted by Greenhills Archery Club, Dublin on Saturday and Sunday and saw terrific competition in the Masters and Senior categories for the Open Title.

CúChulainn's archers had great success in the different categories.

Compound Master Men:-
Paul McClelland, Gold
Fiachra Mac an Bhreithiún, Bronze

Barebow Master Men
Peter Gilmore, Gold

Barebow Master Women
AnnMarie Murray, Gold
Claudia Heinze Banks, Silver

Compound Senior Women
JoAnn Bell, Bronze

Compound Senior Men
Paul McClelland, Gold (this was Paul's second Gold of the weekend.)
Éamonn Rogers, Bronze

Barebow Senior Men
Neil Keeble, Gold

Also competing for CúChulainn was Brendan Forde, Senior Male Recurve, who lost out in the Semi finals with a one arrow shoot off.

Both archers shot one arrow and the closest to the centre goes through. Brendan's arrow was a millimetre further from the centre so, unfortunately he lost.

Siobhán Keeble, Barebow Women, seeded in 2nd place in the qualifiers and was unfortunate not to come away with a medal.

Paul McCooey, recurve Male, who has just returned to archery and on his first competition in years, won his first H2H in convincing style and was unfortunate to lose out later in the competition.

The club was also represented at the Kings of Archery in Eindhoven with Rob Hall and Alan Convery making the trip to the Netherlands.

In a very heavily contested Compound Men Category:
Alan Convery finished in 24th place
Robert Hall finished in 26th place

A good weekend for CúChulainn Archers.
