Dundalk Grammar chool pupils win Order of Merit award

Mr Stephen Begley (teacher) and pupils Doire Toner, Niall Flanagan and William Mulligan

Dundalk Grammar School pupils Doire Toner, Niall Flanagan and William Mulligan receieved an award for their project.

The group received an Order of Merit award from the Central Statistics Office for their entry in the John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition.

The students placed within the top 15 of over 350 entries.

Their project was titled “How does Ireland compare with the rest of the EU in terms of renewable energy consumption?”

The school said it commends their huge achievement and looks forward to next years competition.
