‘IMBAS’ and exhibition by Creative Spark will take place in the Basement Gallery in An Táin Arts Centre
An Táin Arts Centre said they are delighted to welcome back Creative Spark to the Basement Gallery for their annual residency exhibition.
‘IMBAS’ and exhibition by Creative Spark will take place in the Basement Gallery in An Táin Arts Centre from October 13th to November 11th
The opening launch of the exhibition will take plave on Thursday October 12th at 7pm.
The exhibition will bring together new works completed during the Residency Programme 2022-2023 in the media of printmaking, sign writing, photography, and various other traditional methods.
The artists participating in this exhibition include Louise Gardiner from Co. Meath, Clara McSweeney hailing from Co. Cork, Laura Rafferty representing Co. Down, Niamh Clarke also from Co. Down, Yulia Gasio Ukraine Born, based in California and Scarlett Rebecca based in Wales.
IMBAS is Creative Spark’s ninth residency programme exhibition at An Táin Arts Centre.
The Creative Spark Residency Programme is supported by Create Louth and the Arts Council of Ireland and was established to support artists through offering studio space, research time, resources and creative opportunities they may not otherwise have in their own studio or practice.
To date the residency programme has supported 45 artists over nine years.
Paul Hayes Director of An Táin Arts Centre said: “This is our ninth year to collaborate with Creative Spark.
“Their residency exhibition has become one of the pillars of our annual visual arts programme
and we are delighted to be able to host such a diverse range of artists.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming them to our space and for our audience to enjoy the variety of high quality work.”
The opening launch will take place on Thursday 12th October at 7pm in the Basement Gallery of An Táin Arts Centre. All are welcome.
The Basement Gallery is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm. Booking is not required.
