The Louth Enduro Mountain Bike Championships took place in Ravensdale forest on Friday 8th September and was hosted by Cuchulainn Cycling Club.
The enduro race involves riders taking on three downhill timed stages running through the forest with the fastest cumulative time taking the Championship win.
The event was originally scheduled to take place in August, however, the decision to postpone turned out to be a very fortunate one as riders were treated to a glorious warm evening and with dry trails and clear skies.
Marc Potts (Ravensdale) emerged as the winner on the evening, setting fastest times on all three stages to win by 11 seconds from Jack Gregory (Deerpark).
Jack had entered the final stage two seconds behind Joey Gillen (Carlingford) but a storming run saw him take the runner up spot by two seconds.
Maeve Baxter (Anaverna) was top Female rider.
