There was plenty of buzz around Lordship on Saturday morning as St Patrick’s GFC held their Road and Trail walk in aid of Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

People from all around the northeast turned out in their club colours to support the worthy cause.

The club are holding a number of fundraising events after ex-chairman and lifelong member of St. Patrick’s GFC, Padraic O’Connor, who was also chairman of Louth GAA for 5 years from 2009 to 2014 was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

The club thanked all those who turned out and helped make the day a success.

“On behalf of Padraic O’Connor's family and wider O’Connor family we’d like to take the opportunity to thank absolutely everyone for the great success yesterday was.

“It was wonderful to have Padraic there to spend some time with us. We are truly humbled by all the support.

“The second fundraising event is an ongoing draw for great prizes including Cold Play tickets. Tickets can be bought in any local shops. This draw will take place on the 12/10/23.

“The third and final fundraising event will be an ONLINE draw for massive prizes, with first prize being a Cruise for two. All details to follow later in the year for this Online draw with tickets only being €10 or 3 for €20.

“All amounts raised will be published on the IMNDA.ie website later in the year, meanwhile

“Our IMNDA link remains active for another few months to allow anyone to make a donation. Should you wish to do so you can via the following link:
