Walking tours of Aiken Barracks in Dundalk as part of 27 Battalion 50th Anniversary

27 Infantry Battalion was formed on 01 September 1973

27 Infantry Battalion at Aiken Barracks in Dundalk, which was formed on 1 September 1973, marks its fiftieth anniversary this year.

The battalion plans to mark the occasion with a number of events culminating in a Parade at Market Square, Dundalk on Saturday 2 September. 

As part of 27 Battalion 50th Anniversary Sergeant Riccardo Lucchesi shall be conducting Walking Tours of Aiken Barracks. The tours will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday 13th July
  • Thursday 27th July
  • Thursday 10th August
  • Thursday 17th August

Tours will commence at Point Road entrance at 6.30pm and will be approximately 90 minutes in duration. Tours must be booked at least one week in advance.
