As we continue to build up towards the meeting of Louth and Kerry in the Senior Championship, we now look back at their meeting in the Minor Quarter Finals back in 2017.
The Wee County had just come off a big loss to Dublin in the Leinster Final, while the Kingdom secured the Munster title with a huge victory over Clare.
Dan Corcoran, Leonard Grey, Liam Jackson and Ciaran Keenan are all current Louth Seniors who were involved in this fixture, while wearing the green and gold jersey that day was future Footballer of the Year David Clifford. There was also plenty of other names which will be familiar to those who follow the club scene.
Sadly, it wasn't to be for the Wee County, as Kerry coasted to a 1-22 to 2-9 victory on their way to way to lifting the All Ireland crown in Croke Park later that year.
